I watched the first episode and all I can say omg omg omg I did not see that coming. And the last shot was priceless. Is anybody else watching this?

I also gave True Detective a try only because the opening credits are some of the best I've seen in some time. Despite it being a show about Masculinity Issues and a sex worker murdering serial killer I'm developing massive woobie feels about Matthew McConaughey omg self whyyyy crey tumblr you are the only one who understands me liking it! It's just really well-made. What I gather from the 2012!plot is that the cops must be suspecting one of our two protagonists of being a copycat, probably Rust more than Marty? I'm curious about how that's going to develop. Also they've thrown some hints of cosmic horror weirdness that I would really appreciate getting explored more in the future because that's my jam.
And the Louisiana scapes are amazing! I seem to need my Southern Gothic/Americana fix one way or another since SPN's sad demise in that respect. Come to me, pretty fanmixes.
