Snowflake Challenge Day 3
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create.
1. In Dacia | Jeff/Jensen| 19 K | Teen and Up by [personal profile] laisserais

Rome built a wall to keep the barbarians out. C. 259 AD, the native populations rebelled, and kicked the colonizers out. Jensen is a Roman soldier, Jeff is a barbarian shepherd. They have nothing in common.

This was my gift for the [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas exchange last year (gosh, new year). I really have no idea how I got so lucky to receive actual longfic in a gift exchange but omg, I did. And it's my OTP! In a historical setting!
Without spoiling any of the plot points I'll say I love how the author sets the romance amidst larger political events here and slowly reveals the characters' backgrounds. And I think both Jeff and Jensen are unbearably adorable in this, they truly are. And there's some h/c in it and shaving and a bit of tropey slavefic goodness and domesticity (all things I like)! And it's funny!

IN SHORT, I LOVE THIS FIC MUCHLY AND IF ANY OF THESE FEATURES APPEAL TO YOU, YOU SHOULD GO READ IT!

2. A Dead Man the Voyage Brought Back (podfic) | Gordon and Dean gen | 45 min | stream available by [livejournal.com profile] badbastion

A lovely fic by one of my absolute favourite authors featuring a rare character that should be in more fanworks, read by a lovely reader! I think badbastion has a really nice, warm and somewhat sexy-smokey-rough voice and great pacing, the reading spead and pauses are just right for me and you can tell she's thinking about the meaning of the sentences she's performing, which is the mark of a good podficcer and always helps me immensely with following the story.

3. Everything [personal profile] gnatkip ever made! Go make paper Impalas everyone! Allez!

I made one solely for perspective shortening referencing purposes, it is the most excellent thing.
